AJAX was established in 1992 with a singular focus — to manufacture Self-Loading Concrete Mixers for India's emerging infrastructure boom. At a time when imported equipment dominated the market, AJAX chose to design, build, and serve from Bangalore.
The first machines proved a thesis: Indian worksites needed equipment built for Indian conditions — rugged, repairable, and economical to operate. That philosophy has never changed.
Through the 2000s and 2010s, AJAX systematically expanded from Self-Loading Mixers into the full concreting workflow — Batching Plants, Transit Mixers, Boom Pumps, Stationary Pumps, Slip-Form Pavers, and Dumpers. The 360° concreting solutions portfolio was born.
State-of-the-art manufacturing came online at Doddaballapur and Gowribidanur. Dealer networks reached every Indian state. Exports began. By the 2020s, AJAX had crossed 25,000 machines delivered — making it the global leader in Self-Loading Concrete Mixers by a wide margin.
In 2024–25, AJAX listed on the National Stock Exchange under the ticker AJAXENGG, marking a new chapter of public accountability and capital-led growth. The IPO funds expansion into smart-machine technology, deeper export markets, and the launch of UDAAN — our most advanced, connected, and fuel-efficient platform yet.
